We pride ourselves on offering high quality care and support to our residents. We recognise that they are individuals with personal needs and we believe that everyone deserves choice, dignity and peace of mind.
All our bedrooms are tastefully decorated and furnished, with ensuite facilities. Residents are welcome to add small pieces of their own furniture, pictures and treasured possessions to create an environment where they feel comfortable.
We listen and help our residents to live the way they want, with as much independence as possible. When our residents arrive, we take time to find out what they like, what they are interested in and what is important to them. We reach out to their family and friends, making sure they get the support they need.
Our beautifully landscaped gardens are easily accessible and feature an elegant water fountain, patio area for warm summer days.
Wellbeing
There is always something happening at The Paddocks. We have wellbeing coordinators who aim to ensure that life is as rich, fun and as fulfilling as possible for all our residents.
Our programmes include arts and crafts, various workshops, musical entertainment and seated exercises and we're always open to new suggestions and preferences from our residents and their loved ones for any new activities that they would like to participate in. We also have a regular hairdresser who attends every week.
Dining
We offer a good, nutritionally balanced home cooked menu. Everyone has a choice of dishes every day whilst meeting individual nutritional dietary needs. In addition, fresh fruit, cakes and refreshments are available 24 hours a day.
We often have special events and menus are regularly organised and centred around these events. We are always happy to cater for special diets, including cultural requirements.

The Paddocks offers a range of short-term respite, convalescent and permanent care packages.
At the heart of our home is our high standard of person-centred residential and dementia care. We care for our residents with expertise, sympathy and respect for their dignity. Our dedicated care team always strives to deliver the best possible personalised care.
We also enlist the services of external professionals including dieticians, community nurses and occupational therapists to ensure the best possible package of care is available to every resident.
Our dedicated suites
The Paddocks has two suites dedicated to individual types of care:
Sandpiper Suite
Our Sandpiper Suite is a purpose built suite designed to support up to 42 people with mental health care needs or those living with dementia. We provide care and support using a person-centered care approach, building on each resident's strengths and abilities. There are ample lounges to choose from to meet different needs. There are four communal bathrooms, two of which are shower rooms. All bedrooms have a toilet and wash basin and every bedroom can be individually furnished and personalised to each resident's taste.
Kingfisher Suite
Our Kingfisher suite is set in the original Manor house part of the home and provides residential care in a homely setting. There is a variety of different styled rooms.
This part of the home has a modern feel in design and layout. Many of the rooms have views over the gardens with a lounge and dining area that has double patio doors which open onto a seated patio area with views of the garden and water fountain. There is also a beautiful and fully equipped hair salon.
We offer short-term respite care across all our types of care to provide a short break for family members, carers or friends. This could be to cover a holiday or to arrange on a regular basis.

" Since moving mother from a care home without a Dementia bias, her physical and mental facilities have improved enormously. I.E from a selfish viewpoint is to see mother in matching clothing, yes a silly thing but mother was always proud of her appearance, even though she may not be aware.
I now do not worry about her safety. The staff I have met in the last two weeks have been 'on the ball' regarding care and have been very professional

" We find a welcoming atmosphere for the family when we visit and a happy environment for my husband which gives us some peace of mind to know that he is well cared for."

" I find the staff extremely helpful. They have a pretty thankless task and their devotion to their jobs is exemplary. They always appear friendly and have always known my name since my mother has been there. That really is a bonus as they also know what seems to be bothering us. I try hard to help with the fundraising days and hopefully it does make a difference."
