I am the Head of Administration at The Paddocks. I am excited to be part of the team and part of the Castlemeadow Care group. I have worked in various administration roles for 12 years plus, including sales, HR, payroll and for the last four and a half years in a care home setting, supporting care home and deputy managers, staff and residents. Outside of the home I have 3 sons and 3 beautiful grandchildren.
I have a total passion for anything engineering. I have previously and successfully run my own maintenance company. I have the drive to ensure the best possible service is provided to ensure the safety of our residents and that everyone has a lovely home to live in at The Paddocks.
To relax I enjoy cooking and love binge-watching box sets in my spare time.
In 2019 I started my journey into working with the elderly and dementia care. I was a senior carer for a year, which I loved. With all the different jobs that had to be done, no one day was the same within this role. But in 2021 I found my real passion; that is when I became an activity coordinator. This was the first time that I had performed this role. I love to put smiles on residents' faces and to see them enjoy their day. I know I have done my job well if the residents have enjoyed their day and they are happy.
My name is Layla. I have worked in the care industry for 18 years now and have a real passion for Dementia Care. I started off at 18 as a care worker and have worked my way up to Dementia Care Manager.
When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my family. I have 2 daughters who are full of attitude, a crazy dog, and a husband!
I look forward to my journey here at The Paddocks and getting to meet everyone.
Hello! A little something about me. I have been in the care sector 20/21 years. I have worked my way up and through various roles from a care worker, senior carer, team leader, care coordinator, medication officer, registered manager, quality assurance and now I am the residential care manager on Kingfisher.
When I get time I enjoy reading and recently took up fishing. I also completed an evening course in Floristry.
I've not been at The Paddocks for very long but it's an amazing place to work. Thank you to all the staff, residents and family members who have made me feel extremely welcomed.
I’ve worked as maintenance in care for 15 years. I really enjoy mixing with residents and hearing some amazing stories. I take pride in my work and like to provide a nice safe warm environment for our residents. Outside work I am a big family man and enjoy my fishing.
