Following our recent PAMMS assessment by Norfolk County Council at St John's House in Norwich, we are delighted to confirm that we have scored GOOD on every section of the report. What is a PAMMS? The Provider Assessment and Market Management Solution (PAMMS) is an online assessment tool, designed to help Norfolk County Council (NCC) assess the quality of care delivered by providers of adult social services in the county. All residential care homes, nursing homes and homecare services accredited with NCC will receive a PAMMS audit. Is it the same as a CQC report? No, but there is a close relationship between PAMMS and CQC’s current inspection requirements. The PAMMS assessment is a supportive tool and can be used as an opportunity to prepare for a CQC visit, as well as showing any area(s) that the service is achieving high quality care. Similarly, any areas that are not achieving the same high standards can be identified quickly and support put in place to attain positive results.

Huge congratulations to our Executive Chef at St John's House who was a Regional Finalist with a Highly Commended main course at the NACC South East Regional Finals. The National Association of Care Catering for more than 30 years has been committed to raising standards of care catering and championing the positive impact nutrition, hydration and mealtimes have on the physical and emotional health and wellbeing of the elderly and vulnerable in care settings. Chris was delighted to be picked out from the whole of East England and remarked on what a great experience he had being judged on what he loves to do the most.
As part of our planned events recognising Dementia Awareness/Action Week at St John's House , we have had a special visit from the Choristers from the Norwich Cathedral choir as part of the ‘Norfolk & Norwich Festival Band Wagon' project. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed listening to the live music.
