Our home on Heigham Road in Norwich has won the End of Life Team category at the Caring UK Awards which recognise excellence and achievement within the care sector across the UK.
The judges were impressed by how the team focused on providing the most compassionate end of life care they can, including areas such as end of life planning for residents. They recognised how the team had demonstrated compassion, kindness and dignity towards the end of a person’s life.
Managing Director Nigel Reeve spoke of his pride at winning the award: “I’m so proud of our team at St John’s House for winning this award. The compassion and empathy that they demonstrate when a person is nearing the end of their life is incredible, and the support they provide to loved ones helps to make the situation just a little more bearable. Winning this award gives us a real boost given the pressures that the care sector is experiencing.”
The team were presented with their award at a glittering awards ceremony, hosted by Emmerdale actor Dean Andrews, at The Athena Hotel in Leicester on Thursday 2nd December where representatives from the care sector gathered to salute all that is great about the caring sector and recognise the amazing contribution it makes, particularly during the pandemic.
The Caring UK awards are organised by Script Events in conjunction with leading care industry magazine Caring UK, with support from headline sponsor Virgin Money.
