Visiting guidance updated - Thursday 16 December 2021

We have all seen the news of the rapid spread of the Omicron variant of COVID-19, and the actions we must all take to keep each other safe over the coming weeks.

Please be reassured that we are committed as always to keeping people safe and we will endeavour to facilitate visiting. We want our residents to have visitors, and we believe it is of huge importance to the health and wellbeing of all involved.

The safety of our residents, visitors and our staff is our number one priority as we continue to adapt to these changes.

We have updated our guidance regarding visiting arrangements to our homes as indicated in the latest Government guidance issued here: Visiting arrangements in care homes - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

From Thursday 16 December, our residents will be limited to three nominated visitors, plus one Essential Care Giver.

We have amended our visiting policy to reflect the Government guidance:

  • All visitors will need to book visits via a booking system.
  • Restrictions on the number of visitors, which are 3 nominated visitors plus and an essential care giver.
  • All visitors entering inside the home will need a negative Covid-19 test taken on the day of their visit. Rapid Testing (LFT’s) can be undertaken at home prior to your visit. You will be able to collect 7 tests at a time from the care home. We will require you to bring evidence of a negative test performed on the day of your visit. This could be via a date stamped photo on a mobile device.
  • All visitors will need to complete the screening checklist on arrival at the home.
  • All visitors will need to wear a fluid repellent surgical mask (Supplied by us).

A full of copy our visiting policy is available should you require the full details. If you have any questions or queries, please contact us or speak to a member of the management team at our care homes.
