Our Care Assistants really do care about our residents and are dedicated and warm-hearted. Care Assistants play a crucial role in the lives of our residents and their families and are the most vital members of our team. We expect our Care Assistants to interact with our residents in a relationship-centred manner, promoting their dignity, independence, well-being, and becoming an integral part of the lives.
Responsibilities of a Care Assistant:
• Our Care Assistants will assist residents who need help with dressing and undressing.
• Our Care Assistants assist residents in their daily personal activities to include, but not limited to grooming, washing, bathing (which may include using hoists), hair washing as and when required.
• Update all charts on residents to be observed and reported.
• Our Care Assistants assist the residents with physical disabilities in using personal aids and equipment as required.
• Provide wheelchairs when required, to use a hoist when necessary, making sure that the residents safety is priority.
• Our Care Assistants promote mental and physical activities of the residents through talking to them, engaging with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies, and recreations when time permits. Encouraging them to attend group activities.
• Greet all visitors in a friendly and efficient manner to promote the Company and the home positively in the local community.
• Maintain good working relationships with all colleagues, residents, and visitors.

Every Care Assistant will receive a full induction on commencement of employment ensuring that everyone feels welcomed and has a good understanding of their role and our high standards and ethos of the business.
Throughout your time with us we positively encourage further training through National Vocational Qualifications. This is available throughout all areas of our business to include all employees.
If you don’t have any experience, we will support and train you to promote your understanding of a Care Assistants role in clinical issues and to develop your own career pathway, ensuring that you feel confident in all aspects of the role.

You will be involved in supporting the carers and how they interact with our residents in a relationship-centred manner, promoting their dignity, independence and well-being, and becoming an integral part of the lives.
Key responsibilities of a Senior Care Assistant:
• Ensure that there are always adequate staff numbers on shift, including determining future staffing needs.
• Ensure that a detailed handover is taken/given at the end of each shift so to provide continuity and knowledge of circumstances regarding residents.
• Promote a caring environment conductive to the physical and emotional need of the residents.
• To maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, staff members and visitors and be involved in the general activities of the home.
